I've created an empty partition following it and want to format it as UFS. I've booted up with the jaguar disc, and selected Disk Utility. If you destroy a partition, of course anything stored on it is gone. Partition Magic and other such third-party utilities can resize, divide, and combine existing partitions without losing data. My way of handling this is, if possible, to point all setup programs to install on the application partition. The ones that does not accept this, mostly programs written by Microsoft, does end up in Program Files, so I try sizing the boot partition accordingly. Best regards Bjorn -- Bjorn Landemoo
